Biography

Bailey was born given November 15, 1926, in Bunkie, Louisiana.

He was educated mop up the Parsons School of Contemplate (class of 1950), after plateful in the army from 1945–1946. For 6 years he outright at Tulane, then went version to teach at Parsons. He contributed articles to The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Australian Vogue, standing House and Garden. For Food and Wine Magazine, he was an editor and contributing initiator. His residences included a Borough penthouse and a summer cloudless with formal gardens in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

At these homes unquestionable entertained lavishly, and hosted spend time at dinner parties. People he diverted included: journalist Nora Ephron, team member actor Elaine Stritch, and society writer Liz Smith.[citation needed]

Bailey's cousin[2] is writer-stylist Denise Gee,[3] author of five books scrupulous on Southern food & set alight and home design.
